Mother's Day
2026
She asked for nothing.
She gave everything.
The One God Who Never Leaves
In every religion, in every language, in every corner of this earth — there is one name that comes before God. That name is Maa.
We search for God in temples, in books, in pilgrimages — and yet the greatest miracle has always been right there, at home, in the kitchen at 5 AM, tying our shoelaces, packing our tiffin, staying awake when we had a fever. She was never asked to be God. She simply was.
This Mother's Day, we at 102 Not Out | Health+C0de do not just celebrate — we bow in gratitude. For every sleepless night she gave. For every meal she skipped so we could eat. For every prayer she whispered for us even when we never knew.
"Matru Devo Bhava"
माता देवो भव
The ancient Sanskrit declaration says it all — "Mother is God." Not metaphorically. Literally. The Taittiriya Upanishad places the mother above all other duties. She is the first teacher, the first doctor, the first friend, and the last prayer on a dying person's lips.
"Janani Janmabhumishcha Swargadapi Gariyasi" —Mother and motherland are greater than heaven itself. 🌺
A mother's love is the only love in the world that grows stronger the more it is taken for granted. She never keeps a ledger. She never sends a bill.

What economists cannot measure. What science cannot replicate. What money can never buy.
🌙 Before You Were Born
She talked to you in her womb. She watched what she ate, how she slept, how she breathed — all for you. You were loved before you even had a name.
🍼 Your First Cry
She had been in labour for hours. Exhausted, in pain — and yet her first thought when she heard you cry was relief. Joy. Not for herself. For you.
📚 Every Exam You Ever Took
She fasted. She prayed. She stayed up. You sat in the exam hall — she sat outside it, her hands folded, her heart racing more than yours.
💒 Your Wedding Day
She smiled her widest and cried her deepest on the same day. She let you go — because love is not possession. Love is release.
🧓 Her Silver Years
Now she moves slowly. Her hands tremble. Her memory fades. But her love? Her love has never once forgotten you. Not for a single moment.
Our Sacred Duty as Caretakers
She cared for us when we were helpless. Now she is in her silver years — fragile, tired, but still full of love. It is our turn.
Being a caretaker of an ageing mother is not a burden. It is the highest privilege life offers. Every meal we prepare for her, every doctor's appointment we attend, every evening we sit beside her in silence — all of it is seva, sacred service.
-
Give Her Time — Not Just Things Gifts are forgotten. Time is remembered. Sit with her. Ask about her childhood. Let her speak. She has stories that deserve to be heard.
-
Her Health Is Your Responsibility Regular checkups for blood pressure, kidneys, blood sugar, and bone density. Know her medications. Be the advocate she never knew she needed.
-
Emotional Presence Matters Most Loneliness kills more silently than any disease. Call her. Visit her. Tell her she is not alone. Tell her she is loved. Say it out loud.
-
Protect Her Dignity Always As she ages, protect her sense of self. Let her make decisions. Never speak about her as if she is not in the room. She is still the woman who raised you.
-
Be Her Bridge to the World Help her with technology, with government schemes, with her pension, with accessing healthcare. She navigated the world for you. Now guide her.

She is not a burden — she is my blessing.
She is not old — she is irreplaceable."
