Confused about vaccines?

🩺 What to Know About Vaccines After 50

🩺 What to Know About Vaccines After 50

Introduction -

As we grow older, our immune system naturally becomes weaker. This makes adults over 50 more vulnerable to infections that can lead to serious health problems. Vaccines are one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect health in later years.

👉 In India, not all vaccines recommended worldwide are fully available, but knowing about them helps you make better health decisions. The World Health Organization (WHO) and medical experts suggest that older adults should discuss these vaccines with their doctor:

Flu Vaccine (Influenza): Annual shot to prevent seasonal flu.

Pneumococcal Vaccine: Protects against pneumonia and related infections.

Shingles (Herpes Zoster): Recommended after 50 in many countries (not widely available in India yet).

Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap): A booster every 10 years.

COVID-19 Vaccines & Boosters: Stay updated, especially if you have health conditions.

⚠️ Availability in India may vary. Always ask your doctor which vaccines are needed and accessible for you.
